IAN MURRAY has agreed a deal to become assistant boss at Norwegian side Asker FC.
The ex-Rangers player was sacked from his job at St Mirren last year and has been out of work since.
Murray’s former Hibs team-mate Kevin Nicol is boss at the Oslo-based outfit.
Nicol sees Murray as perfect for a role as No.2 and helping develop their youth team.
Murray – who turned down one chance to return to management in Scotland – has now decided to take up the offer.
He will pen a one-year deal and begin work on January 1, while the club start their season in April.
