ST JOHNSTONE boss Tommy Wright admits he would be interested in a loan move for Rangers forward Michael O’Halloran this month.
The 26-year-old quit McDiarmid Park last year to clinch a £500,000 move to Ibrox but has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth for the Light Blues.
O’Halloran has yet to score in 18 appearances for Mark Warburton’s side so far this term but Wright reckons he is unlikely to leave the club before the transfer window shuts.
He said: "I don't think Michael's available for loan. If he was, that would be a player I would urge the chairman to go and try to sign for us but Michael is under contract at Rangers.
"If there is going to be speculation about his future at Rangers it's easy to see we would be a club that would be suited for him but there's been nothing formal."
