KENNY MILLER reckons victory over Motherwell on Saturday was huge for Rangers as they got off and running in the second half of the season.
The striker was the Scottish Cup hero at Ibrox as Mark Warburton’s side came from behind to clinch a 2-1 win and set up a fifth round meeting with Morton.
Rangers ended last year on a low note as they dropped two points at McDiarmid Park and then suffered Old Firm defeat on Hogmanay.
The Light Blues return to Premiership action with a trip to Fir Park this weekend and Miller is pleased to be heading to Lanarkshire with a win on the board.

He said: “It was huge for us because we have come back after two poor results with the draw at St Johnstone and the Old Firm defeat. That killed the home record for 15 months so it was really important that we got back to winning ways.
“The fact it was the cup, there were no second chances and we needed to put it right and make sure our name was in the hat for the next round and we done that.
“I thought it was a decent performance, we got our rewards late on and we were well worthy of it. Now we need to go again this weekend.”
