Lee Clark will meet with the Kilmarnock board to see what money if any he will get from Souleymane Coulibaly's big-money transfer to Al Ahly.

The 22-year-old Ivorian striker signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Egyptian champions on Tuesday in a deal understood to be worth about £750,000, potentially rising towards seven figures.

And Killie boss Clark is hoping to get some cash from the deal to reinvest in the squad.

Ahead of the Ladbrokes Premiership clash with Ross County on Saturday, he said: "He's a good lad and he will do well out of it financially and professionally and I wish him luck.

"Our club got the best deal that it could, a fantastic deal really, for a player who has only been here six months.

"I will be sitting down with the board and giving my thoughts and opinions and seeing where we go forward.

"I have a list of players for each eventuality, whether I am allowed to go into the transfer-fee market or whether we go on free transfers and loans.

"It all depends on how the board sees the money being used, for the infrastructure of the club, for youth development, infrastructure, sports science, medical or the playing side."

One potential replacement for Coulibaly is trialist Hakeem Araba, a 25-year-old striker whose contract with Swedish side Falkenbergs FF ran out in November. Clark has yet to decide if he will offer the former Peterborough player a contract.

The former Huddersfield, Birmingham and Blackpool manager said: "He trained with us on Monday and played last night (Tuesday) and took his goal well in the win for the under-20s against Hearts.

"His season in Sweden finished in mid-November so he has not played football since then.

"We have to decide how long it is going to take to get him up to speed. We will decide in the next day or two."
