WES FODERINGHAM (6) Rangers goalkeeper had little to do at Fir Park. A routine save in the first half from a Carl McHugh pop his lot. Will have busier afternoons

JAMES TAVERNIER (6) Brought back into the team for his first start this year. A comfortable reintroduction for the Rangers full-back.

ROB KIERNAN (5) Lucky to stay on the park due to a crunching tackle on Stevie Hammelll. Wasn't tested once Scott McDonald saw red for a lesser challenge.

CLINT HILL (6) Was targeted at Ibrox last week for his lack of pace but strolled this encounter. Few silly fouls didn't spoil a steady showing for the veteran centre-half.

LEE WALLACE (7) Motherwell going to 10 allowed him more freedom to roam forward. Unlucky not to score himself but rampaging run forward helped him create assist for opener.

JON TORAL (6) The Spaniard on his second Rangers appearance. Still lacking match sharpness but showed nice touches to demonstrate his potential.

ANDY HALLIDAY (6) Battled hard in midfield and his work rate helped to make up for early man disadvantage.

MICHAEL O'HALLORAN (1) And he's lucky to get the one. Being sent off in the fourth minute for a Kung Fu kick will do that.

EMERSON HYNDMAN (7) Given his first start since loan switch from Bournemouth. Didn't disappoint. A constant positive force for the visitors, demonstrated great composure to net late second.

BARRIE McKAY (6) His pace caused Motherwell all sorts of problems at Ibrox last weekend, it was the same here. When hosts went down to 10 the park opened up for the Gers forward who continues to flourish in a resurgence of late.

KENNY MILLER (8) Just give him a new deal, eh? The 37-year-old worked tirelessly after O'Halloran almost threw Rangers under the Motherwell bus. Ran his heart out and got the goal his endeavours deserved to shunt the Ibrox club ahead on 72 minutes.

SUBSTITUTES:

MARTYN WAGHORN (5) On for Toral 68 on minutes, made a big impact with assist in the Scottish Cup game. Didn't have same influence here, but did well enough.

HARRY FORRESTER (4) Introduced for McKay with 14 to go. Helped consolidate things as Motherwell rolled the dice.

JOSH WINDASS (4) Replaced Miller for the last eight minutes.
