THE Scottish FA has made a bid to host the UEFA Europa League and Super Cup final in 2019.

UEFA, European football's governing body, has confirmed the associations interested in hosting the finals in two years' time, with Hampden Park among the candidates.

Scotland's national stadium has been put forward in the bidding procedure for the Europa League, Super Cup and Women's Champions League final.

However, the Scottish bid faces competition from five other countries for the Europa League final including Germany, Spain and Turkey, while a total of 10 declarations of interest have been made for the Super Cup.

The successful bids will be announced by UEFA in September 2017, with Hampden Park hoping to host its first major European final since the 2007 UEFA Cup decider between Sevilla and Espanyol.
