KENNY MILLER insists his Rangers contract talks will have to be shelved while the search continues for the new Ibrox boss.

Former Gers gaffer Mark Warburton was keen to tie the striker and Clint Hill down on new deals beyond the end of the campaign.

Miller has been influential on and off the park for the Light Blues this term but is only focused on the job in hand in the Premiership.

He said: “That has been put on the back burner at the moment. The club have got bigger things to sort out at the moment.

“Any new negotiations or decisions based on players takes a bit of a back seat. It is definitely secondary to us finding a new manager.

“I keep reading about the plan that may be in place for a Director of Football. That’s great, but we need to sort out the path the club is going to go down and sort out the new manager before any of that stuff happens.”
