GORDON (6) The Scotland goalkeeper had, like many others in the Celtic defence, virtually nothing to do during the course of a one-sided 90 minutes. Kept a clean sheet with a fine save late on.

GAMBOA (6) Another impressive showing. Mikael Lustig is the undisputed first choice right back at Parkhead, but he has a more than able deputy in the Costa Rican internationalist.

BOYATA (6) His resurgence continues. The Belgian centre half has had far more demanding outings since forcing his way back into the first team at Parkhead. But he kept his focus well to help ensure another win.

SVIATCHENKO (6) A late replacement for Jozo Simunovic who injured his knee in training at Lennoxtown on Friday. The defender made his presence felt at the back and linked well with his midfield.

TIERNEY (8) Celtic’s best player after Moussa Dembele. It is astonishing to think the young left back had been the victim of such a horrific challenge against Motherwell seven days earlier. He was reliable defensively and devastating going forward.

BITTON (7) Industrious. The Israeli sat deep and allowed his captain Scott Brown to roam further forward. He was constantly looking for the ball and distributed it intelligently throughout. Enjoying better form.

BROWN (7) Covered every blade of grass on the hallowed Parkhead turf. Snaffled possession whenever he had the chance to and probed the visitors’ defence for an opening.

FORREST (2) The winger only lasted a few minutes before suffering a knee injury after a hard, but perfectly fair, challenge by his Hamilton rival Danny Redmond. Was replaced by Gary Mackay-Steven after failing to respond to medical treatment.

ARMSTRONG (6) The midfielder played just off Dembele again and looked capable of scoring or setting up a team mate for a goal throughout the game. But he missed an absolute sitter from a few yards out.

SINCLAIR (6) A quiet game by how own high standards. But that wasn’t due to any shortage of effort. The winger performed with his usual energy and skill.

DEMBELE (8) What more can you say about the French striker? Broke the deadlock just before half-time with a screamer and then sewed up the three points when he netted a second half penalty. Took his tally for the season to 29.

Substitutes

MACKAY-STEVEN (6) Bright. Gave his manager some food for thought with a decent outing.

GRIFFITHS (4) Made his first start this year. Worked hard without influencing proceedings greatly.

MCGREGOR (2) On for the last five minutes. Hardly involved.
