SCOTLAND'S Paul Craig will compete at UFC Glasgow as three bouts for the event were announced.
The world's leading mixed martial arts promoter returns to these shores on Sunday July 16 after a successful debut event in Glasgow two years ago.
And the Ultimate Fighting Championship revealed on Friday that Coatbridge native Craig will step out in front of a home crowd to take on Khalil Rountree in a light heavyweight bout.
“I have never fought in my home country as a professional so to be added to the card in Glasgow, 10 minutes away from my home is incredible," he said.
“Hearing the Scottish fans cheering for me as I walk out into the arena on July 16 will be spectacular.
“I hope MMA in Scotland and across the UK continues to grow. The sport here is getting more and more exposure, and I want more athletes from Scotland to get the recognition they deserve.”
In the other two confirmed fights, Welshman Jack Marshman will take on Canadian Ryan Janes in a middleweight bout and heavyweight Mark Godbeer from England will face American Justin Willis.
