PEDRO CAIXINHA will make his Old Firm debut tomorrow and I think he will handle the occasion just fine. If he can get a win, what a first game it would be for him.

He has been around the world during his coaching career and has been involved in some big games during his spells with Sporting Lisbon and Rapid Bucharest and his time in Greece and Mexico.

He has been in volatile situations before so he will know what to expect at Hampden. The Old Firm is a special game and he will relish it I am sure.

He was at Parkhead for the Premiership fixture a couple of weeks ago and that will have given him and insight into what it is all about. He will know about the passion on the terraces and on the park.

I think he will be calm on the touchline. He will get the players going and then he will take it all on from the technical area.

The last thing a manager or a coach wants to do is show the players that the nerves are getting to him and I don’t think that will be an issue for Pedro. You have got to give your players confidence and instil belief in them.

He and his staff will be round the players geeing them up and making sure that when they go out on that park that they are at it from the first whistle.

I think the manager will be good in the dressing room with the players. He speaks well, he is confident and he has tried to approach this game as he would any other.

Pedro will know what a great chance this is for his players but it is a big day for him as well. Hopefully it is a successful one.
