JOHN BEATON will referee the final Old Firm clash of the season on Saturday when Celtic travel to face Rangers at Ibrox.
Brendan Rodgers' side have already been named league champions for the 2016/17 season but are aiming for their fifth win of the campaign over their rivals and second in a week after Sunday's Scottish Cup semi-final triumph.
Beaton will take charge of the fixture for the first time in his refereeing career and will be assisted by Alan Mulvanny and Dougie Porter as well as fourth official Bobby Madden.
The 35-year-old last took charge of a Hoops game for their 1-0 win over Aberdeen in February, while his last dealings with the Gers was while running their 6-0 Scottish Cup victory against Hamilton in March.
Beaton has shown 135 yellow cards and five red in 37 games so far this season and oversaw Aberdeen's 3-2 cup semi-final win against Hibs at Hampden Park last Saturday.
