HIBERNIAN pair Jason Cummings and John McGinn have been nominated for the PFA Scotland Championship player of the year award.

The duo helped the Easter Road outfit secure a return to the top-flight this season as Neil Lennon's side wrapped up the title with three games to spare.

Cummings is the league's joint-top scorer with 17 goals and is joined by teammate and Scotland international midfielder McGinn on the four-man shortlist.

Queen of the South's Stephen Dobbie, who tops the scoring charts alongside Cummings, has also been shortlisted as well as Morton's Ross Forbes.

In League One, Livingston strikers Danny Mullen and Liam Buchanan, Alloa's Jordan Kilpatrick and Airdrieonians forward Andy Ryan have been nominated for player of the season.

Finally, in League Two Arbroath striker Bobby Linn, Forfar's Thomas O'Brien and Elgin duo Thomas Reilly and Shane Sutherland have made the shortlist.
