WES FODERINGHAM Left exposed by his defence as Hearts broke forward and equalised early in the second half. Made a couple of stops and played his part in a deserved win. 7
JAMES TAVERNIER Unsurprisingly, the right-back was better going forward than he was defensively. Lucky that Goncalves didn’t capitalise on a second half howler before he should have clinched the win with a header. 6
DAVID BATES Is still learning his trade and will be better for another 90 minutes at the heart of the Gers defence. Couple of mistakes but coped well overall. 7
CLINT HILL Was given his own reception by the Ibrox crowd at the end of another impressive performance. Commanding in the air and solid on the ground. 8
LEE HODSON Replaced Myles Beerman at left-back as he made his first appearance since the draw with Motherwell. Steady as usual on a comfortable afternoon. 6
JASON HOLT Can’t be faulted for effort but could have offered more quality. Always looking to get involved in the first half but quieter after the break. 6
JOSH WINDASS Has shown flashes of his ability at various stages of the campaign and could have done better here. Replaced after mistake in build-up to Hearts goal. 5
JON TORAL Returned to the side after missing the last couple of games through injury. Decent contribution in midfield and almost curled home the Gers’ third. 6
KENNY MILLER Started the game in the Light Blues’ forward line and ended it in midfield. Put in a real shift for the team and will be frustrated he didn’t get himself a goal. 7
BARRIE MCKAY Back in the starting line-up and back on the scoresheet. Always a threat on the flank and took his goal well as he netted for the second consecutive game. 7
JOE GARNER Showed his quality in the air with a terrific diving header to open the scoring then shrugged off a shoulder knock. Linked-up well in a good showing. 7
SUBSTITUTES:
JOE DODOO (for Windass 51) Added a bit of pace to the Gers attack. Should be furious with Waghorn that he didn’t get a late tap-in. 5
JAMIE BARJONAS (for Holt 66) Given his Ibrox bow a week after making his Rangers debut. Composed on the ball and didn’t look out of place after stepping up from the Under-20s. 5
MARTYN WAGHORN (for Toral 72) Squandered a late chance as he fired a shot straight at Viktor Noring. Could have done better overall. 3
