KYLE MAGENNIS has committed his future to St Mirren by signing a new contract until 2020 in Paisley.
The 18-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for the Buddies in 2016/17, making 32 appearances and picking up the club's Young Player of the Year award.
On Wednesday, the Championship outfit announced that Magennis had signed a three-year extension and the youngster hopes to see the Paisley side return to the top-flight during that time frame.
He said: "It's brilliant. I've been with the club for a long time and I'd just like to repay them with a few more years where I can hopefully help take them to the Premiership.
"It was an easy decision and hopefully we can start the season the way we ended it."
Manager Jack Ross said: "It's a reflection of how happy he is at the club. For us it's a real positive sign of the feeling around the club that a young player is willing to commit for a longer period.
"He'll undoubtedly progress in his career. I know he will take it the right way and his hunger will remain the same. It's a huge boost for everybody at the club."
