GORDON: Broke sweat in a way that he hasn’t for the bulk of the season after an opening half in which Aberdeen tested him. Scotland stopper had smart saves from Jayden Stockely and Graeme Shinnie. Dropped to his knees on the Hampden turf when Tom Rogic netted the winner. Important first-half display. 8

LUSTIG: Didn’t get forward as often as usual as Aberdeen penned Celtic back in the opening 45 minutes. Was a question mark over his fitness after picking up a calf strain against Aberdeen at Pittodrie a few weeks back but worked his socks off. Emotional at the whistle. 7

SIMUNOVIC: Up against Stockley as the two jostled it out. Tried to play the ball out from the back but not the same amount of space that Celtic are used to. 7

BOYATA: Another who could have been on the scoresheet when he headed a free header over from a Griffiths cross. Had one cracking tackle on Stockley in the opening half to thwart the player’s progress. 7

TIERNEY: Afternoon ended prematurely for the teenager who was left with a suspected broken jaw and impending surgery after a tooth was lodged in his palate. Furious going off the pitch as he pointed the finger at Stockley. Emotional celebration when he made it out to get his hands on the Cup. 6

ROBERTS: Quiet in comparison to the influence he has yielded in recent weeks for Celtic but became more involved when he was moved into a central position midway through the second period. Had a shot palmed onto the post by Joe Lewis after a fine bit of footwork on the edge of the box. 7

MCGREGOR: One moment of madness that would have had his heart racing when he gifted possession to Jonny Hayes. Got off the hook when the Irishman’s pass was just behind Kenny Mclean. Had been switched to the left following Tierney’s departure. 7

BROWN: Nowhere near his best display of the season. Involved in various off the ball niggles and never got the chance to dictate play. 6

ARMSTRONG: Celtic’s best player. Netted the equalising goal and teed up Rogic to score the winner. Hugely influential in the middle of the park after a season. Industrious and creative. 8

SINCLAIR: Left his shooting boots at home. Missed a sitter on the cusp of the half-time whistle when he skied an effort over the bar right in front of goal after being teed up by Griffiths and then scorned another chance at the back post. 7

GRIFFITHS: Frustrated for much of the game. Slept at the opening goal when he allowed Hayes to get in front of him and then missed the target with a couple of free-kicks. Unlucky not to score when he was denied by a fine save from Joe Lewis that looked bound for the bottom corner. 7

ROGIC: On for the injured Tierney as McGregor moved left. Moment of his career when he netted the winner under a flash of lightening as Hampden went berserk. 7

SVIATCHENKO: On for the final minute as Celtic saw out the game. 3
