Moussa Dembele has played it coy on his Celtic future amid growing interest in the Celtic forward.

The Frenchman played on Thursday night in a win for France’s under-23 side against Cameroon, a game that was watched by scouts from across Europe.

Celtic have been steadfast in maintaining that the player will not be sold, but there has been widespread interest in the forward who netted 32 goals in 46 appearances for the Parkhead side this season.

Dembele left the game in Paris to head off on holiday, reluctant to discuss what his next move might be.

Seville, AC Milan, Marseillw, Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea have all be linked with the player.

"I'm now going on holiday. As for my future...we will see what will happen next,” said Dembele.

"It was good to get back playing again because I had been out for some time.

"I wanted to come and play for the team.

"Of course, my goal is to get into the France team - that's the big aim for me."

While the striker has attracted interest from across Europe for his services, Celtic are insistent that they will not look to cash in on the 20-year-old.

Dembele missed the latter month of the season with a hamstring injury but will return to pre-season training fully fit at the end of June as Celtic look to get through three qualifying rounds to make it into the group stages of the Champions League.

The player cost Celtic less than £500k from Fulham last summer due to cross-border regulations. It is believed that Celtic are keen to keep Dembele as they look to make their way into Europe’s premier competition again this term.

Even if he is to go elsewhere, it is unlikely that the Parkhead side would sell the player – with offers expected to start at the £30m mark – before they had played their qualifying games.

Sources close to Celtic have consistently maintained that they do not wish to sell the player this summer after just one season in Glasgow.
