IT is one thing beating Dunfermline at Ibrox, but it is quite another facing a Hibernian side that will be really fired up on Saturday. That is a big test for Rangers.

The team certainly knows what the supporters expect and they will know what the manager wants from them this season. If they are to achieve their goals, they need to keep getting better and better.

Some of the play against Dunfermline was terrific but, with all respect to Allan Johnston’s side, there will be harder games for Rangers this season.

We know the European exit was hugely disappointing for everyone at Ibrox but things have picked up in the last couple of matches and one of the real positives for me so far is the leadership that you are seeing on the park.

Pedro has said he has his five captains this season and you can see the influence the experienced players are having on the team.

Kenny Miller never stops shouting at players up front, then you have Graham Dorrans in midfield and Bruno Alves at the back. Lee Wallace leads by example and Niko Kranjcar has great experience in the game to pass on to the squad.

When you have leaders all over the park, that can only be a good thing for the team. If someone is slacking, there are players there that aren’t afraid to make their voice heard.

That is maybe something that the squad has lacked over the last couple of years and it is good to see that the manager has addressed that aspect this summer.
