FODERINGHAM (6) Not helped by those in front of him at times but will look at his part in all three goals. Could arguably have done better on each occasion.

TAVERNIER (6) Was involved in an early flashpoint with Anthony Stokes. Repeatedly put under pressure as Hibs attacked with pace and saw the ball bounce off him for the second goal. Well-placed late header was in vain for the Gers.

ALVES (6) Won his share of aerial battles but wasn’t always convincing on the deck. Recovered from a couple of moments of slackness and almost scored a free-kick in the closing stages.

CARDOSO (6) Struggled to cope with the speed and movement of Simon Murray and was beaten too easily as the striker equalised in the first half. Frustrating afternoon for the Portuguese.

HODSON (4) Deputised for the injured Lee Wallace at left-back once again but didn’t look convincing. Only lasted until half-time before Danny Wilson replaced him and Rangers switched to a back three.

CANDEIAS (5) Got an assist to his name as his teasing free-kick was headed home by Morelos after three minutes. Was a threat on the right but didn’t reappear after the break.

JACK (3) His dismissal in the first half changed the game. Didn’t need to get involved in the melee in the middle of the park but controversial red card wasn’t merited. Was a big miss for the Gers.

DORRANS (6) Started brightly as Rangers stormed out of the traps but found the going increasingly difficult. No shortage of effort but couldn’t impose himself on the game as Hibs took control.

WINDASS (5) Had the beating of Steven Whittaker early on and was decent in the first half. Role changed slightly after the interval and wasn’t as effective down the left flank.

MORELOS (6) Deserved his place after a double in midweek and gave the Gers the perfect start as he scored after just three minutes. Put himself about in attack and had a couple of other chances.

MILLER (6) Almost doubled the Gers’ lead when he connected with Ofir Marciano’s clearance and saw a lot shot come back off the post. Had few opportunities after that as he was switched to a midfield role.

SUBS:

WILSON (5) (for Hodson) Introduced as part of Caixinha’s half-time reshuffle but needs to do more to earn a starting spot.

HERRERA (5) (for Candeias) Didn’t pose Hibs that many problems as Rangers looked to use his height and strength. Still lacks a goal threat.

PENA (2) (for Morelos) Difficult circumstances in which to come on and had few chances to make an impact.
