MARSEILLE president Jacques-Henri Eyraud has admitted interest in Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, praising his 'power, speed and athleticism'.

The France Under-21 international, who is currently out of action until September with a hamstring injury, has been linked with a number of sides across Europe after enjoying an impressive debut campaign with the Hoops.

Dembele scored 32 goals in all competitions for the champions last term as they secured an unbeaten domestic Treble and returned to the Champions League group stages.

And Eyraud says that the 21-year-old has caught the eye of the Ligue 1 giants, who are on the lookout for a new front man before the window closes.

He said: "(Dembele) is a young player with power, speed and athleticism. He is an interesting player.

"It's not a secret that we are actively looking for a striker. It's a difficult area to get players.

"I try to avoid talking for the manager or the Sporting Director when it comes to players, but I obviously have my own ideas.

"All I can say is that he is an interesting name, but there are others."
