BRUNO ALVES admits it was crucial Rangers got back to winning ways in the Premiership as they beat Ross County.
Pedro Caixinha's side recorded their second league triumph of the campaign in the Highlands thanks to a double from Alfredo Morelos and a late strike from Eduardo Herrera as he opened his account in Light Blue.
A Thomas Mikkelsen effort proved in vain for County and defender Alves was pleased to emerge unscathed after the double Ibrox disappointments against Hibernian and Hearts.
He said: “The most important thing is the victory. It was difficult and we expected this but the team worked very well.
“We know away games are difficult but we proved our character, the way we want to play and we want to win.
“I feel good. It was my personal choice to come here and to join this team.
“I like to play like this. My team-mates give their best, we are improving day by day, game by game and this is what we think to get better and better.
“It was very important [to win] after the draw last week. Like I said, it is important to get the points but sometimes it is not possible to play well. It is important to win.”
