CELTIC great John Hartson believes that home advantage can help the Hoops spring a Champions League surprise against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
Brendan Rodgers' side face an imposing task on the opening day of their Group B campaign, with the attacking trio of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani spearheading the French side’s expensively assembled side.
And while Hartson admitted that the visitors will rightly begin the game as favourites, he told BBC Scotland that the unique atmosphere at Celtic Park could inspire the Scottish champions to a memorable upset.
He said: “PSG will have over £400m worth of strikers at their disposal and what are Celtic worth defensively?
"It's a no-brainer, we know where the result should go. PSG should win. But you cannot rule Celtic out. You would be foolish to write off Celtic at Celtic Park in any game,"
"Some of the scalps that Celtic have taken at home; Barcelona twice, Manchester United. When that stadium is full, there is nowhere better in world football."
The Bhoys host PSG on Tuesday night before facing back-to-back away trips to Anderlecht and Bayern Munich respectively.
