Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon is set to be welcomed back to Parkhead with open arms as it is announced both Hoops and Hibs supporters have snapped up all 60,000 tickets ahead of Saturday’s match.

Celtic FC added that only some hospitality packages for the champions return to the East End of Glasgow with the Easter Road side are now left.

Saturday’s fixture will see Hibs visit Paradise for the first time since they earned their promotion back in the Premiership.

Hibs told its fans: “Our allocation for Saturday’s trip to Celtic Park is sold out, but there are more tickets on sale for matches this October at Easter Road Stadium.”

Lennon left Parkhead in 2014 when he stepped down as boss that May.

He said at the time: “The club are in a very strong position and I wish the fans and the club all the very best for the future.”

Lennon led the Hoops to three successive Scottish titles after succeeding Tony Mowbray as boss back in 2010.

The crowning glory of his reign was the 2-1 victory over Barcelona that took the club into the group stages of the competition.

Lennon had been a controversial figure in Glasgow and often clashed with authority.

This week, however, victory in the Highlands moved Hibs just two points behind St Johnstone and Aberdeen and came on the back of their Betfred Cup quarter-final win against Livingston which secured them a semi-final crack at all-conquering Celtic, who they visit this weekend on league business.
