JAMIE BARJONAS is determined to make the most of his chance to shine for Scotland as he goes from Light Blue to Dark blue against Les Bleus.
The midfielder has emerged as one the brightest young talents in the Rangers ranks in recent years.
Now he will look to make his mark for Donald Park’s side as Scotland Under-19s face France in a friendly double-header.

Barjonas told SportTimes: “I am eligible to play for England but I want to play for Scotland. It is Scotland for me.
“Playing at international level is a boost because it shows that you are one of the best in the country.
“I have been called up for the double header with France so hopefully I can continue to get called up for the Under-19s. It is definitely a good stepping stone for my career.”

Barjonas made four appearances for Rangers in the closing weeks of last season and has been involved with Pedro Caixinha’s first team squad this term.
And the 18-year-old is determined to realise his dreams for club and country as he continues to rise through the ranks.
He said: “I was looking at pictures with my mum the other day and I have always got a ball at my feet. Since I was young, it is always what I wanted to do.

“When I was at school and people ask you ‘what do you want to do when you are older?’ I always said football. That is what I want to do.
“People tell you that one in so many thousand actually make it in football. But you relish the challenge and coming in here and playing football for a living, there is nothing better.”
