TOMMY Wright has called on his players to cut out the gaffes which have been costing St Johnstone points so far this season.

The Perth boss was seething after a 3-0 defeat from Aberdeen before the international break.

And he is demanding more from his men against under pressure Rangers on Friday.

“To me the international break doesn’t matter,” Wright said.

“We knew it was coming and our plans weren’t going to change because of the result at Aberdeen.

“We had some time off but we have also worked hard and had the testimonial match with Dundee.

“I spent a bit of time looking at the goals we have conceded. I can safely say nine of the 11 in the league have been down to individual errors. We could be in an even stronger position.

“But we have made it far too easy for teams to scores against us, especially in the last two away games with Aberdeen and Dundee.

“We have given away too many cheap goals. That is something that has to improve to get us back on a winning run.”

On-loan Rangers attacker Michael O’Halloran can’t feature against the Ibrox club and one-time Gers defender Richard Foster is ruled out by a two match ban for booting a dressing room door at Dens Park.

Wright said: “Mikey would have made the Rangers game but we will take it easy with him and he will definitely be ok for Hearts. We will make sure he uses the time wisely."
