GRAEME MURTY got his second spell as interim boss off to a great start against Hearts on Saturday and he deserves a lot of credit for the way he has handled himself once again.

The Rangers fans will put their faith in him to look after things will the board are searching for the new manager.

The players respect him, I think that was shown in the way they played, and the supporters have taken to him as well.

So that buys the board a bit of time to make sure they get the right man in because they know that Graeme is more than capable of handling this in the interim.

I don’t think he will get the job longer term. The club will be looking for a bigger name, and so will the fans.

Graeme will know that but he will go back to his job with the Under-20s one day and he will continue to do that well, I am sure.

Right away, he has come in, sorted things out, got the players believing in themselves, got a win and made the fans happy at the end of a really difficult few days for the club.

He will steady the ship along until the board find the right man and everyone at Rangers will be grateful for his efforts second time around.
