If Celtic’s AGM showed anything it is that the club have the same quality off the park as they do on it.

There is a winning team out doing the business week in, week out and off the park you wold struggle to find fault with the way the club is run.

I did find it interesting that Brendan Rodgers clarified that he will be in the hunt for a central defender in January. I also think that there is every likelihood that it could be a quality addition rather than a player brought in just to bulk out the numbers.

This year was almost unprecedented given the sheer volume of defensive players who were all out at the same time. I still think there was a case for bringing in cover back then but I don’t think it is a huge surprise that we’ll see the club step up their hunt for a defender in January.

The ideal situation is that you get someone in who can be allowed to bed into the team over the next few months, meaning that when the qualifiers come around that you have a player who is well up to speed with the workings of the club and the guys round about him.
