SCOTT FOX has seen his howler in the Highlands back plenty of times in the last few months.

But there was no escaping it on Saturday as the video was beamed around Ibrox before the Premiership clash with Ross County.

Fox hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons in August as his blunder allowed Alfredo Morelos to score the second goal of a 3-1 win for Rangers.

And the keeper was reminded of his nightmare moment once again at the weekend as the giant screens showed replays of the game during the warm-up.

Fox said: “Yes, I saw that. It was just obviously one of things, I’ve seen it enough times since!

“To be fair, me, Aaron (McCarey) and the coach Scott Thomson had a laugh about it. All I could do was have a wee smile on the pitch.

“I knew it was coming, it’s just one of those things you have to deal with. You know it’s going to happen. I’ve been getting stick for the last two months over it.

“You know what it’s going to be like, but I’m old enough and wise enough to know I’m going to get a bit of stick after something like that. It’s water off a duck’s back for me now.

“I was pleased to get back into the side. Aaron’s done well. But the gaffer’s had a bit of belief and put me back in and I’m grateful for that.”

County silenced Ibrox after just ten minutes as Craig Curran gave Owen Coyle’s side a shock lead.

But goals from Morelos and Danny Wilson clinched all three points for the Light Blues.

Fox said: “I definitely think we deserved something from the game. I think the way we played first half, the chances we had and how we kept the ball.

“We obviously knew they were going to come out second half and have a go at us.

“We held our own for the first 15 minutes. But Davis knows he’s made a bit of mistake and Rangers capitalised on it.

“As soon as they got that goal the crowd gave them a lift and it turned the game.”
