GORDON: One or two Pat Jennings moments as he came running out of his six-yard box with just one hand on the ball, but his spilled effort at the death could have killed the winning run. Involved in a mix-up with Simunovic and dropped the ball at the edge of the box with Oli Shaw lurking. (6)

LUSTIG: Most valuable contribution to the game came with his clearance after the late drama as Gordon spilled the ball and Shaw looked to certain to bag a winner. Got back to clear his lines and preserve the run. (7)

BOYATA: Lucky to stay on the park. Booked for a foul and then took out Dylan McGeouch in the final minutes of the game. Referee appeared to be going for the card before remembering he’d already booked the defender. Then has a chance to head the winner when he met an Armstrong free-kick in final minutes. (6)

SIMUNOVIC: Seemed to be easily brushed off the ball as Hibs netted their second goal and then involved in a mix-up with Craig Gordon as Shaw searched for further frailties. (6)

TIERNEY: Beaten by Martin Boyle at one point in the opening period as the Hibs man chested the ball past Tierney just inside the box, but Gordon was quick to the block. Usual shift on the left flank as he spent more time over the half way line than behind it. (7)

FORREST: Missed a glorious chance with just 18 minutes gone when he raked his shot wide of the target after going straight through on goal following a slack ball across the face of his own box by Dylan McGeouch. (6)

MCGREGOR: Industrious throughout. Linked well with Forrest and does not shirk his duties in terms of chasing back. (7)

BROWN: Involved in an intriguing battle throughout the day with John McGinn. Worked his socks off in the middle of the park but to be fair to McGinn he will feel that he gave the Celtic and Scotland captain a decent run for his money. (8)

NTCHAM: Cracking ball lifted into path of McGregor early on that opened up Hibs defence. Booked for a foul on Martin Boyle as the Hibs player threatened to scamper clear at 2-2. Last involvement before being replaced by Stuart Armstrong. (7)

SINCLAIR: More like himself in the second period with two goals – and one chopped off for offside – as he was back in the thick of it. Will feel that he could have had a hat-trick given the amount of chances that he had in the game. (7)

EDOUARD: Clipped the post in the build-up to Celtic’s opening goal but drifted in and out of the game. (6)

DEMBELE: Took over from Edouard. Drew a foul for a free-kick in a dangerous area but ultimately came to nothing. (4)

HAYES: On immediately after Hibs netted their second goal of the afternoon as Celtic looked to turn the game back in their favour. (4)

ARMSTRONG: Replaced Ntcham in the final stages and delivered a free-kick that Boyata could have netted Celtic’s third from. (4)
