Celtic's 69-game unbeaten domestic record ended in a 4-0 defeat by Hearts in the Ladbrokes Premiership at Tynecastle.

Here, we pick out five things we learned from a significant weekend of Scottish football action:

1. Celtic are fallible in Scotland

Celtic's 69-game unbeaten domestic run was ended in stunning fashion at Tynecastle. The Jambos raced in to a two-goal interval lead through strikes from 16-year-old midfielder Harry Cochrane and striker Kyle Lafferty. A second-half double from attacker David Milinkovic, one from the penalty spot, put the finishing touches on a remarkable and historic afternoon. It was a first defeat for Brendan Rodgers by a Scottish side since taking over the Parkhead club in 2016 and should give other teams in Scotland a lift.

5. New kid on the block

Hearts' 16-year-old midfielder Cochrane's goal against the Scottish champions was his first for the Gorgie club. He was voted man of the match but being so young, was not allowed to be presented with a bottle of champagne after the match. Cochrane was only five months old when Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon, 34, made his senior debut for Cowdenbeath in September 2001. Boss Craig Levein sent on another 16-year-old after the break in Anthony McDonald, but it is Cochrane who has grabbed the headlines.

3. A false dawn for Rangers?

After four successive Ladbrokes Premiership wins for the first time in a year, Rangers were expected to extend that run against St Johnstone at Ibrox. Caretaker boss Graeme Murty's side had beaten Aberdeen home and away and Hibs at Easter Road, as well as Ross County at home. However, a dismal performances against Saints brought a 3-1 defeat for Murty's men, described by the temporary boss as a "reality check" and dropped them down to third place in the table behind the Dons and Celtic.

4. First past the post for St Johnstone

It was a day of firsts at Ibrox on Saturday. After falling behind to an Alfredo Morelos strike, Blair Alston, Denny Johnstone and substitute Graham Cummins all scored their first goals of the season - in Johnstone's case his first goal for the McDiarmid Park club since signing on loan from Colchester United - to move them up into the top six. It was also, remarkably, St Johnstone's first league win at Ibrox since 1971.

5. Daniel anything but divine

Three points against Motherwell on Wednesday night looked like it could be the turning point for Partick Thistle this season. It was around this time last year that they went on a run of form that rocketed them up the table, but two costly mistakes on Saturday from captain Daniel Devine condemned them to another defeat and left them bottom of the table. After almost slicing into his own net early on, Devine lunged at Sofien Moussa to concede a first-half penalty, before slipping in possession on the edge of his area after the break, and chopping down Cammy Kerr to concede a second spot-kick and round off a miserable afternoon that will worry manager Alan Archibald.
