GRAEME Murty has been named as Rangers manager until the end of the season after guiding the Ibrox side to six wins so far in his second spell as interim boss.
The club announced on Friday that the former Under-20s coach will continue to lead the first team until the end of the 2017/18 campaign after they failed in their attempt to poach Derek McInnes from Ladbrokes Premiership rivals Aberdeen earlier this month.
Murty is the third man this year to take the reins, after Mark Warburton departed in February and Pedro Caixinha’s seven-month stint came to an end in October.

So how does the former Scotland internationalist’s record compare with the last two bosses?
The 43-year-old’s term has been split into two spells, with his first lasting a month between February and March and his second currently ongoing since taking over first team duties on 28 October.
As it stands, Murty is outperforming his Portuguese predecessor in terms of average points collected, win rate and goals per game, although his side have shipped slightly more on average than Caixinha’s.
Mark Warburton’s numbers are somewhat more impressive on average, but that is also taking into account his season leading the Gers in the second tier.
Overall, the Englishman boasts an average 2.18 points per game and a win rate of 67% from his time in Glasgow, with 2.29 goals scored per game, but those figures are significantly lower for his top-flight campaign.
Murty has a better win percentage than Warburton did during his Premiership season, as well as scoring more goals. However, the current Nottingham Forest boss’ team conceded fewer goals and picked up more points per game on average.
