ABERDEEN
The Dons are heading to Dubai for a warm weather training camp and will take on Uzbekistan champions Lokomotiv Tashkent on Sunday 14 January.
Derek McInnes’ side jet out to the Middle East next week and will spend seven days training at the Jebel Ali Centre of Excellence complex.
CELTIC
Brendan Rodgers’ side return to Dubai after visiting during last year’s winter break, with the squad flying out after enjoying a week off in the wake of last weekend’s draw against Rangers at Parkhead.
The manager said: “The break is the light at the end of tunnel and it’s not even about relaxing. What we will do is give the players a week with their families to get a breather from football and recover.
“Then we will work very hard in the warm weather and we also hope to have new signings in during that period. That will allow us to bond and get together on the training pitch.”
DUNDEE
Neil McCann’s side will be staying put in familiar surroundings during the winter break after hauling themselves out of the relegation zone.
The Dee will be back in action when they host Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Cup fourth round at Dens Park on Saturday 20 January.
HAMILTON ACCIES
Accies will also be staying home in January, fresh off their 3-1 Lanarkshire derby win over Motherwell.
Martin Canning’s side, who occupy ninth place in the table, return to action to face the Steelmen again in the Scottish Cup fourth round on 20 January.
HEARTS
The Jambos are heading for the Spanish sunshine and will travel to Valencia on 11 January for a warm weather camp and two friendly games.
Craig Levein’s side will face Vitesse Arnhem of the Netherlands and German outfit FC Nurnberg.
HIBERNIAN
Like their cross-city rivals, Hibs are escaping to the Iberian Peninsula. They jet off to the Algarve in Portugal on 9 January, where Neil Lennon and his squad will go through a four-day training camp.
The trip will include a friendly against Dutch top-flight side Willem II on Friday 12 January.
KILMARNOCK
After securing a top six spot before the winter break, Steve Clarke’s side will stay put at Rugby Park to prepare for the second half of the season.
After some time off, the Killie squad will return to training on 5 January to begin preparations for the Scottish Cup tie with Ross County on the 20th.
MOTHERWELL
‘Well will also remain at home this month after being given a week off by manager Stephen Robinson.
After an impressive start to the season, the Steelmen’s form has dipped dramatically in the last two months and the loss of star striker Louis Moult to Preston North End was a further blow.
PARTICK THISTLE
The Jags lifted themselves off bottom thanks to a win just before the break against Ross County and their reward will be a five-day training break in Spain this month.
Alan Archibald and his squad jet out to Marbella on 8 January, where they will face Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua in a friendly on 12 January before heading home the next day.
RANGERS
The Gers travel Stateside this month to take part in the Florida Cup, where they have two games lined up against Brazilian opposition.
Graeme Murty’s side take on Atletico Mineiro on 11 January in Orlando City Stadium, before taking on Corinthians at the Spectrum Stadium two days later.
ROSS COUNTY
Bottom of the pile Staggies will stay at home in the Highlands during the winter break as Owen Coyle looks to re-energise a side that has gone nine games without a win.
Defeat to Partick Thistle has left County in last place and they have a tough test awaiting them in the Scottish Cup fourth round when they travel to in-form Kilmarnock on 20 January.
ST JOHNSTONE
The Saints are staying in Perth, but manager Tommy Wright was not happy that his side will remain grounded rather than heading for some time in the sun.
A trip was blocked by the club for financial reasons, but Wright complained that ‘the benefits would have outweighed by far the costs’ and said he is hoping for some decent weather to aid preparations.
