JAMIE Murphy says his personal connection to Rangers attracted him to the club as he closes in on a move to Ibrox.
The Brighton winger landed in Glasgow on Thursday to undergo a medical with the Light Blues ahead of finalising a deal to join the team he supported growing up.
Speaking to STV, the former Motherwell man revealed that he had been aware of the Gers' interest for 'a while' and underlined the importance of his relationship with the club.

"It's good to be home," he said.
"Obviously it's Rangers. It's the club I supported as a boy and still support now.
"It's been a good season so far. They're always looking to improve so hopefully I can be a part of that.
"Hopefully we'll get the medical through and then we'll see what happens."
