CELTIC defender Kieran Tierney has been named as one of the top 50 players to watch in 2018 by UEFA.

The 20-year-old was selected by a team of reporters as one of the continent's most promising youngsters in the list published on Friday.

Tierney played a crucial role in the Hoops' unbeaten domestic Treble season in 2016/17 and went on to captain Scotland for the first time in November.

UEFA said: "The left-back has captained both Scotland and Celtic, his profile further enhanced by Champions League appearances in 2017/18."

He signed a new six-year deal with his boyhood club in October and has already made 36 appearances for the Bhoys this season in all competitions.
