LeBron James only had 18 points to remain short of 30,000 in his career as the Cleveland Cavaliers went down heavily to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
James needed 25 to reach the milestone only achieved by six others in the league’s history – but the Cavs started on the back foot, going down 43-24 in the first quarter.
Oklahoma City outscored Cleveland in two other quarters – as Paul George hit 36, Russell Westbrook 23 and 20 assists in the 148-124 win.
The Golden State Warriors had won 14 away games in a row, but the Houston Rockets put an end to that with a 116-108 scoreline.
Chris Paul had 33 and 11 rebounds, while James Harden added 22 points for the Rockets, while Steph Curry only hit five of 15 three-point attempts for the Warriors.
The Miami Heat came back strong to pip the Charlotte Hornets 106-105, with James Johnson hitting 22 points, while the Chicago Bulls beat the Atlanta Hawks 113-97.
Jrue Holiday hit 27 points and had eight assists as the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Memphis Grizzlies 111-104, while the Philadelphia 76ers restricted the Milwaukee Bucks to 14 in the final quarter in their 116-94 win.
The Toronto Raptors fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves 115-109 despite 40 points from Kyle Lowry, while the Utah Jazz beat the LA Clippers 125-113, and Damian Lillard hit 31 points as the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Dallas Mavericks 117-108.
