DANNY WILSON has been a decent player for Rangers but I am not sure his second spell at Ibrox has worked out as well as he, or the supporters, hoped it would have.

If he doesn’t see his future at Rangers, then you wish him well for the next stage of his career and thank him for his efforts.

He has played well overall this season but he has maybe looked at the other centre-halves in the squad and looked ahead to the summer and questioned where he sees himself next year.

Graeme Murty has said on a few occasions that Rangers have been speaking to him over a new deal but, at the end of the day, it is up the player whether he wants to sign it or not.

If you get an offer from a team in the MLS, it is a big decision to make to leave. But it is a new opportunity and one that Danny clearly feels appeals to him.

It is nice to feel wanted, no matter what club it is, and if he fancies it and wants to make that move then good luck to him.

He is only 26 and has a lot of football left in him but it is a different lifestyle and climate in America and he believes this is the right move for his career and his family.

Danny has been a good professional for Rangers and he has done his bit during his two spells at Ibrox. But, if he wants to go, I don’t think the fans will see it as a big deal.
