GRAEME MURTY has revealed chairman Dave King is pleased with the progress that Rangers are making on the park this term.
The South Africa-based businessman returned to Glasgow this week and was at Ibrox to see Murty’s side move up to second spot in the standings with a 2-0 win over Aberdeen.
The Light Blues boss has added five players to his squad already this month as Sean Goss, Jamie Murphy, Russell Martin, Jason Cummings and Greg Docherty have put pen-to-paper on Gers deals.

Murty spent time with King on Thursday evening and he is determined to go from strength to strength in the coming months as he looks to earn an extension to his Ibrox deal beyond the end of the campaign.
Murty said: “I sat next to him at the Burns dinner. He is positive that we are on the right path and he is conscious that it has taken time to get back to where we are.
“He wants all the talk about our football club to be about things on the pitch. But I won’t put any words in his mouth, if you want feedback on how he thinks we are doing I recommend you schedule an interview with him.
“The feedback I have had is guardedly positive because we are in second but it is not about one game, it is about making sure we sustain.
“That is a criticism that has been levelled at us all the way through. It is just one game and we need to sustain and if we do that I am sure we can have a positive second half of the season.
“It (next season) wasn’t mentioned and to be perfectly honest I am comfortable with that. If I do a really good job and fulfil all the things I want to fulfil then I’m sure we’ll have another conversation further down the line.
“I am really concerned with making sure our daily stuff is of an elite level, our standards are as high as possible and if we do that then we give the players a good opportunity to realise the potential that this squad has.”
