WITH several Rangers players plying their trade away from Ibrox this season, we take a look at how they fared over the weekend.

English League One

Harry Forrester (AFC Wimbledon)

Forrester was again named among the substitutes for Wimbledon, but failed to make an appearance this weekend as his side beat Stuart McCall’s Bradford City 4-0 to move up to 16th place.

Scottish Championship

Jordan Thompson and Ryan Hardie (Livingston)

Both Gers players started as Livi beat Dumbarton 2-0 to move into third place in the Championship.

Thompson forced a save from goalkeeper Scott Gallacher but it was Hardie who stole the show by doubling his side’s lead after 28 minutes on his full debut for the club.

Myles Beerman (Queen of the South)

Beerman was handed a starting place again as Queens recorded a 3-1 win at home to Brechin City courtesy of a Stephen Dobbie hat-trick. The left-back was eventually substituted on the 66th minute but the three points saw his side draw level with fourth-placed Dunfermline.

Scottish League One

Ross Lyon (Stranraer) and Kieran Wright (Albion Rovers)

The two Light Blues youngsters came face-to-face when their sides met at Cliftonhill over the weekend. It was Lyon’s side who came out on top with a 3-1 win, with the defender coming off the bench for the final 18 minutes as goalkeeper Wright made his senior debut for Rovers.

Wright was then handed another opportunity from the start for his side’s Scottish Cup fourth round clash with St Johnstone on Monday night, but it was an evening to forget for the 17-year-old as they fell to a 4-0 defeat.

Scottish League Two

Robby McCrorie (Berwick Rangers)

McCrorie was denied a clean sheet during Berwick’s 3-1 win away to Cowdenbeath on Saturday, as Harvey Swan scored for the home side from the penalty spot before the break.

Liga MX

Carlos Pena (Cruz Azul)

Pena was again on the bench for Cruz Azul’s trip to Deportivo Toluca. The midfielder was brought on with half an hour remaining as Pedro Caixinha’s side found an equaliser to come away with a 1-1 draw that puts them in ninth place.
