WITH several Celtic talents plying their trade away from Parkhead this season, we take a look at how they fared over the weekend.

Scottish Premiership

Scott Allan (Dundee)

Dundee secured a crucial three points away to Hamilton over the weekend thanks to a 98th minute winner from A-Jay Leitch-Smith. Allan was named among the substitutes but came on for the final half-hour to provide an assist for Matthew Henvey’s 77th-minute equaliser.

Nadir Ciftci (Motherwell)

Ciftci started for Well again as they scored a late equaliser to record a 1-1 draw away to Hearts. The striker was replaced by Craig Tanner after 55 minutes having come close to providing an assist when his cross to Curtis Main was headed narrowly wide.

Ryan Christie (Aberdeen)

Christie was left out of Derek McInnes’ squad for Saturday’s 3-1 win at home to Kilmarnock.

Jamie Lindsay (Ross County)

County’s winless streak stretched to 11 games with defeat to Rangers on Sunday and the Celtic midfielder missed out due to a knee injury.

Scottish Championship

Lewis Morgan (St Mirren)

Morgan played 90 minutes as Saints stretched their lead at the summit of the Championship table to nine points.

His back-heeled pass set up Cammy Smith for the opener and the youngster had a chance to get on the scoresheet himself in the second half only to shoot high and wide from a good position.

Joe Thomson (Queen of the South)

Thomson played a full 90 minutes in midfield for Queens as they beat Brechin City 3-1 courtesy of a Stephen Dobbie hat-trick to move level on points with fourth-placed Dunfermline.

Sam Wardrop (Dumbarton)

Wardrop was again absent from the Dumbarton squad as they lost 2-0 to Livingston on Saturday.

Scottish League One

Regan Hendry (Raith Rovers) and Jamie McCart (Alloa)

Raith were knocked off top spot by Ayr United after being held to a 0-0 draw by Jamie McCart’s Alloa.

The defender earned a clean sheet and played a full 90 minutes in his first league appearance for the Wasps, while Hendry was an unused substitute for Rovers.

English League One

Kundai Benyu (Oldham)

Benyu was an unused substitute as Oldham fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Plymouth over the weekend.

Danish Superliga

Erik Sviatchenko (FC Midtjylland)

The Dane remains on winter break until league leaders Midtjylland return to league action against Horsens on Friday 9 February.
