WES FODERINGHAM 6 Left exposed by his defence twice in the first half as Lyon and Templeton beat him with well struck efforts. Had no chance as Imrie blasted home a penalty late on.

JAMES TAVERNIER 7 Signed a new Ibrox deal this week and retained the armband. It wouldn’t have been hard to be the Gers’ best defender on the day, but the right-back continued his recent fine run of form.

DAVID BATES 5 Caught out a couple of times in the first half as Rangers failed to assert themselves at the back. Improved but not his finest showing overall.

RUSSELL MARTIN 5 At fault for the second Accies goal as his clearance was cut out and Templeton was given space to finish. Better after the break but capable of much better.

DECLAN JOHN 6 Inspired Rangers to victory with two goals here earlier in the season. Not as influential going forward on this occasion but decent enough overall.

GREG DOCHERTY 8 Had a nightmare moment on his return to the SuperSeal Stadium as he gifted Lyon the opener. Recovered well to grow into the game and play a crucial part in the win.

SEAN GOSS 7 Almost scored Rangers’ fifth just before the break as Woods got down to block his curling free-kick. Not a flashy showing but effective once again in the middle of the park.

DANIEL CANDEIAS 7 Back in the side as he replaced Jason Cummings and Rangers switched formations. The only forward not to get himself a goal but can be pleased with another solid showing on the right.

JOSH WINDASS 8 Celebrated his new contract with a first half double, the first of which was fortunate, and then completed his hat-trick with 20 minutes remaining. In his best run of form at Ibrox.

JAMIE MURPHY 7 Continues to catch the eye. Got Rangers back into it with his first league strike and was involved in the third and fourth goals as he showed his quality once again.

ALFREDO MORELOS 7 Back in the headlines and back on the goal trail. Saw a header come back off the bar before he got his 16th of the season. Set up Windass just before leaving the pitch after another impressive showing.

Substitutes:

KENNY MILLER 3 (for Windass) Given the last ten minutes as he continues to get back up to speed after his hamstring injury.

JASON CUMMINGS 3 (for Morelos) Lost his place in the starting line-up but given a late run-out.

ANDY HALLIDAY 2 (for Goss) On for closing stages as Murty’s side saw the game out.
