LAST week, I wrote that Rangers fans talking about a title race now being on were kidding themselves.
This week, Celtic are only six points in front – albeit they have a game in hand after the snow claimed their home match with Dundee.
And should Rangers beat Celtic a week on Sunday at Ibrox, which is the next league game for both sides, that’s just three points with games beginning to run out.

Could anyone have imagined that in August? Actually, I don’t think anyone would have seen that coming in November.
Celtic are still going to win the league. Sorry, I haven’t changed my mind. Rangers have asked some questions, that’s for sure, and laid down a marker for next season, but they won’t win the title.
Celtic remain too good right now and while, I am sure, Brendan Rodgers did not expect the gap to be as close as it is to Rangers, he won’t be overly worried.
He has the best players, the biggest squad, and that will prove to be the difference.
However, the gap was almost 40 points last season, so this is genuine progress which should not be ignored.
The Rangers players have found a bit of consistency, they are scoring goals and playing some good stuff. This is not unimportant.
That Graeme Murty has closed the gap by such an extent is testament to the job has done.
Second place would still be something given where the team was. And there is the Scottish Cup as well.
A season which I feared would simply drift now promises a strong finish with plenty to look forward to. Rangers are not yet where they want to be, that’s top of the Premiership, but they are in a better position than where anyone of us would have hoped for.
