WES FODERINGHAM 6 Made a couple of first half stops from Dembele and McGregor but didn’t look convincing at corners and was well beaten by Rogic’s strike. Had no chance with neat lob from Dembele or effort from Edouard.

JAMES TAVERNIER 7 Would have been determined to lead Rangers to Old Firm victory as he captained the side for the first time on derby day. Wasn’t too be despite his efforts. Solid enough defensively and linked well with Candeias once again down the right.

DAVID BATES 3 Was the Man of the Match at Parkhead but he only lasted 14 minutes at Ibrox. Couldn’t stop Rogic levelling the scores and received treatment before being replaced.

BRUNO ALVES 5 A lot was expected of the experienced Portuguese on his second Old Firm start. Should have done better at Dembele’s goal and not the commanding presence Rangers needed.

DECLAN JOHN 7 Handled the threat of Forrest well and assist for Candeias’ goal summed up his afternoon in an attacking sense. One of his best performances for the Light Blues.

GREG DOCHERTY 6 This would have been a dream come true for the boyhood Gers fan as he made his Old Firm bow. Can’t be faulted for effort or desire but found it tough in the middle of the park.

SEAN GOSS 5 Has caught the eye as a midfield playmaker since moving to Ibrox but this was a far different task. Didn’t assert himself in a defensive sense and should have done better as Rogic pulled Celtic level.

DANIEL CANDEIAS 7 The winger has been a key performer for Rangers this term and this was a typical performance on the right. Put in a terrific shift and deserved his goal as he fired home at the back post.

JOSH WINDASS 5 Gave Rangers a dream start as he capitalised on a mistake from Boyata and beat Bain with a rifled finish. Didn’t contribute enough after that, though.

JAMIE MURPHY 7 Has arguably been the best of Rangers’ January signings and he performed well on his Old Firm bow. Couldn’t find a way to unpick the Celtic defence, however, as Rangers were left empty handed.

ALFREDO MORELOS 6 Boss Murty backed the striker to shine on the Old Firm stage but his endeavours weren’t rewarded. Fired a shot straight at Bain and then couldn’t convert after Windass’ effort was saved late on.

Substitutes:

FABIO CARDOSO 5 (for Bates) Hasn’t played a lot of football under Murty but was called on as he replaced Bates. Beaten too easily by Dembele just before the break. Didn’t make the most of his chance to impress.

JASON CUMMINGS 4 (for Goss) On as Rangers chased the game in the closing stages but couldn’t mark his debut in style.
