KRISTOFFER Ajer has been called up to the Norway senior squad for the first time after an impressive run in the Celtic first-team.
The centre-back has featured regularly under Brendan Rodgers in recent months, starting the last 11 Premiership games in a row.
Ajer was rewarded for his form by earning a maiden call-up to Lars Lagerback's squad on Tuesday for the upcoming friendlies against Australia and Albania.
The 19-year-old has represented his country at every youth level from Under-15 to Under-21 but is yet to be handed his first senior cap.
The 6ft 4in defender arrived in Glasgow from Start in July 2016 before spending the second half of last season on loan at Kilmarnock.
He has made 24 appearances for the champions this season, including both legs of their Europa League last 32 tie against Zenit and last Sunday's Old Firm win over Rangers at Ibrox.
