Moussa Dembele’s form for the French under-21 side suggests that the Celtic striker is honing in on his top form in time for the Parkhead side’s finale to the campaign.
Dembele failed to make the cut for Didier Deschamps’ senior squad for their friendly games against Colombia and Russia. However, the striker kept himself at the forefront with a fine free-kick against Kazakhstan to follow on from the 12-minute hat-trick he scored for his country back in November.

With the World Cup looming into view it will seem like a tall order now for Dembele to force himself into the squad that will head to Russia.
However, maintaining his scoring form will ensure that he is knocking at the door should there be any last minute injuries.
Injured Celtic forward Leigh Griffiths has been in charge of the set-pieces for Brendan Rodgers’ side but Dembele’s strike suggested he may well push himself up the pecking order for that particular accolade.
