IT was great to see Ally McCoist back at Ibrox and doing what he does best on Saturday in the Legends match to raise funds for the Charity Foundation and Youth Development Company.
I was delighted for him. I was a wee bit worried about the reception that he might get but well done to the fans that turned out to support the players.
It was nice to see Ally getting a cheer and he showed why he has a place in the hearts of the Rangers fans with a hat-trick. As they say, it never leaves you.

He has still got that knack of being in the right place at the right time. You never lose that, no matter how old you are.
He still keeps himself fit and plays five-a-sides so it was not as if he was going into that game having not pulled on his boots for a while.
I was delighted for him to go back and score the goals and entertain the punters. The way they reacted would have meant a lot to him I am sure.
Ally has not been back at Rangers all that often since he left as manager, you can probably count the occasions on one hand.
Hopefully he is a more regular face around Ibrox again next season.
