RANGERS have appealed the yellow card shown to striker Alfredo Morelos during Saturday’s win over Dundee at Ibrox.

The Colombian was booked for diving by referee Greg Aitken during the closing stages of the 4-0 victory.

But boss Graeme Murty was left furious with the decision after keeper Elliott Parish was forced off the park with blood pouring from a nasty a facial injury.

Rangers have now launched a bid to have the caution overturned and a hearing is set to be held on Thursday.

Morelos will miss the Light Blues’ first post-split clash in a fortnight if it is ruled that the yellow card should stand.
