JAK ALNWICK Handed a rare Premiership start after Wes Foderingham was forced to miss out due to a shoulder injury. Not his toughest day between the sticks as Hearts rarely threatened and could do little about Berra’s bullet header that ultimately proved to only be a consolation. 6

JAMES TAVERNIER The captain was one of the few to earn pass marks against Celtic and he was once again a solid and steady performer. Allowed to get forward at will and added his weight in the final third. 7

ROSS MCCRORIE Youngster needed a more straightforward afternoon after his Old Firm nightmare and he coped well overall at Ibrox. Misplaced a few passes but was solid enough at the back. 6

RUSSELL MARTIN Needed no introduction to the threat that Lafferty could potentially cause but the stopper handled his former team-mate well as the Northern Irishman only had one strike of note as his effort came back of the post. Not his finest showing, but far from his worst. 6

DECLAN JOHN Another who didn’t disgrace himself at Hampden, the Welshman was decent throughout against the Jambos. Did what he had to do defensively and linked well with Murphy going the other way. 7

GRAHAM DORRANS Saw plenty of the ball in the middle of the park and was involved far more regularly. Got better as the game went on in arguably his most complete performance since returning to the team. 7

JASON HOLT Many Gers fans would have had the midfielder in the side against Celtic and his energy and work-rate at Ibrox showed why. Picked the wrong option a few times when he got within sight of goal but did his job well. 7

DANIEL CANDEIAS This was much more like it from the Portuguese as he got back on track after an Old Firm off-day. Caused Hearts problems down the right and set up Cummings before clinching the win with a terrific header. 8

JOSH WINDASS Returned to the starting line-up but didn’t get on the ball often enough. Set Murphy free in a good first half move but his influence was muted. Replaced with 15 minutes to go. 5

JAMIE MURPHY Came to the fore after the break and had a major say down the left. Was involved in a quick move for the first goal and then picked out Candeias with a terrific cross for the second. 7

JASON CUMMINGS Worked hard with little joy in the first half and then broke the deadlock just after the break with a cool finish. Had chances to add to his tally and should have netted more than once in an encouraging performance. 7
