ALL eyes will now turn to Saturday’s Scottish Cup final, and Celtic are understandably strong favourites. They will be focused to clinch an historic double treble.
Having said that, in Motherwell they will face a strong team and one that has already caused Celtic problems this season.
They are a physical side. They did lose Louis Moult - who battered the Rangers back four of Rangers in the Betfred Cup semi-final - but for me they’ve still got a really good unit.

Stephen Robinson gets them working for each other. There’s a togetherness with them and they will go into this Saturday’s game at Hampden with a real belief that they can put right what they think went wrong in the Betfred Cup final back in November.
But Celtic have some match-winners Motherwell don’t have. Look at the likes of Tom Rogic and Moussa Dembele, these guys are big-game players who time and again have shone for Celtic on the big stage.
You also have guys such as Scott Sinclair. I know he’s not had his best season but there always was going to be a bit of a dip on the back of his stunning debut in Scotland.

Leigh Griffiths hasn’t had the bounce of the ball recently but he’s desperate to get a starting berth. They are all match-winners.
We know on paper Celtic are stronger than Motherwell but we’ve seen in cup finals before where the favourite can have an off day and the other team can get a bit of luck. Stephen’s side have it in them to pull off a shock.
But I just think that Celtic on the back of the defeat to Aberdeen will say to themselves ‘look let’s not take this game lightly’. I know it was the last game of the season and everyone was perhaps looking at this one coming up, but I still feel Brendan Rodgers and his team will have enough to get by Motherwell.
If they do, they deserve huge credit for what would be a truly remarkable achievement not just in the club’s history, but that of Scottish football.
