DEREK MCINNES is confident Aberdeen can punch above their weight again next term.
The Dons have been ahead of Rangers in successive Premiership seasons and that will be the aim once more.
McInnes said: “There will be a perception we will be swept aside next term. When Rangers first came up we were told they would be way ahead of us. Many were expecting us to be pushed to the side this season but we weren’t.
“We are not perfect by any stretch but we are trying to compete with clubs that are miles ahead of us financially.
“It’s been getting more difficult but it’s a challenge we are willing to take on.”
