YOU have to say that the Parkhead side have already made quite a statement with the business that they have done.

Getting Tom Rogic on a long-term deal is a fabulous bit of business, particularly since most of us thought that the midfielder was waiting on the World Cup to come and go before making a decision on his future.

The playmaker is one of the players who can conjure something out of nothing and I don’t think he has scored a goal at Celtic that hasn’t been of the eye-catching variety.

Getting him along with the likes of Kristoffer Ajer and Kieran Tierney on long-term deals is fabulous and just tells you exactly where Celtic are at the moment.

They look as though their first signing of the summer will be Odsonne Edouard and although the club are pushing the boat out to get him in, it will be money well spent.

At just 20, he has the look of a player who can go on again to another level. He isn’t quite in the same mould as Moussa Dembele – he is a little more silky and less physical than his countryman – but there is no doubt he can have an impact next season if Celtic can get a deal over the line.
