RANGERS go to Maribor on Thursday night with a 3-1 advantage in the Europa League and I don’t think you will see Steven set the side up to be too adventurous in Slovenia.
You have to approach it with caution and I would be surprised if Rangers went out early on and went for Maribor.
They need to be composed and solid. Maribor might have the bulk of the possession but you don’t score goals with possession.
It is about mentality and boxing clever for Rangers so if Maribor have the ball in their own half, so be it.
Rangers just need to be tight and compact and then look to break with pace, which is something Steven does have in the side.
If they can do that, I don’t think there will be any problems and Rangers should get through to the play-off round this week.
